Here in Nigeria, adult Ram meat (also known as mutton) is not consumed as often as goat meat, beef and other forms of red meat. It is consumed most commonly during the muslim holiday Eid el Kabir, also known as Eid al Adha or “Feast of Sacrifice“. Ram is healthy for consumption, it is a great source of iron, high quality protein source, source of vitamin B12 and a source of Calcium.
